KeepProof ("we", "our", or "us") is provided by the developer identified in its App Store listing. This Privacy Policy explains how information is handled when you use the KeepProof app or contact support.
KeepProof is designed as a local-first app. The following information is stored in the app's private storage on your device:
KeepProof does not upload receipt or item content to a server that we operate or to RevenueCat. This content may leave your device only when you choose a backup or export option, when your operating system includes app data in a device backup, or when you choose to send content to support.
When you choose to add an image or file, KeepProof uses the camera, photo library, or file-selection features provided by your device. When you enable warranty reminders, KeepProof uses the device's notification features to schedule notifications locally. You can change photo and notification permissions in your device settings.
On Apple devices, KeepProof data may be included in iCloud or computer backups, depending on your settings. These platform-level backups are separate from KeepProof’s optional in-app backup. KeepProof encrypts the backup on your device before saving it to the app’s iCloud container, adding an independent application-level encryption layer.
KeepProof also offers an optional, app-managed backup feature:
The backup contains the app database and settings together with managed receipt and item images or files. Apple may process backup-file metadata, such as the file name, size, and modification date, even though the backup contents are encrypted.
Backups created by an earlier version of KeepProof may contain a former local feature-event log and an app-generated identifier. The current app no longer records these events and removes the legacy telemetry table and identifier when it opens or restores app data. An older encrypted backup file remains unchanged until you delete it or restore it through the current app.
The backup encryption key is generated on your device and stored using Apple Keychain. It may sync through iCloud Keychain when enabled.
We do not operate a backup server and do not have access to the contents of these encrypted backups. Apple handles files stored in iCloud under its own terms and privacy policies.
