KeepProof ("we", "our", "us") values your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains what data we process, why we process it, and the choices available to you when using KeepProof.

1. Scope

This policy applies to the KeepProof mobile applications and related support contact channels.

2. Local-First Storage

KeepProof is designed as a local-first app. Your receipt and item content is stored on your device. KeepProof does not store your receipt or item content on any server we operate.

The limited exceptions are standard subscription processing (Section 4) and basic app analytics and crash reporting (Section 5), described below.

Examples of content that stays on your device and is never sent to us:

• Receipt and item photos
• Receipt details (for example, store name and purchase date)
• Item details (for example, item name, notes, and warranty information)
• App preferences (for example, view, archive, backup, and notification settings)

3. Backup

KeepProof offers an optional backup feature. If you choose to use it, KeepProof encrypts your backup on your device before saving it to a storage location you control, such as your personal iCloud storage on supported Apple platforms or a file location you select on Android. The encryption key is generated and stored using platform security features. On supported Apple platforms, the key may sync through your iCloud Keychain if enabled so you can restore backups on your other Apple devices.

KeepProof does not operate a backup server and does not have access to the contents of your encrypted backups.

4. Subscription Features

Some app versions may include subscription features. If you use those features, KeepProof may process related subscription data through trusted third-party service providers needed to run the app, including:

• Subscription management: subscription and entitlement service providers, along with platform billing APIs such as Apple App Store and Google Play, used to process purchases, validate entitlements, and restore access.

KeepProof does not require an account or sign-in to use the app.
