Frequently Asked Questions

Where does SnapLapse store my photos and journeys?

SnapLapse stores your journeys, photos, notes, and milestones locally on your device. SnapLapse does not upload this content to its own servers.

If you use the backup feature, backup copies are saved in your personal iCloud storage. Your iCloud account, available storage, and iCloud Drive settings determine whether a backup can be completed.

How do I keep new photos consistently framed?

Open SnapLapse > Settings > Capture Defaults and turn on Use Previous Photo as Guide. When you take the next photo in a journey, the previous photo will appear faintly inside the camera frame to help you align the shot.
